Selected text does not stay selected due to disabled dragging or pointer.
Cause:
The pointer may not be over the text, or the drag-and-drop feature may not be enabled.
Solution:
Make sure the pointer is over the text, and make sure drag-and-drop is enabled.
Do one or both of the following:
1) Make sure the pointer is over the selected text when trying to drag the text.
2) Make sure the drag-and-drop feature is on:
a) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options...'. (The Options dialog box appears.)
b) Click the 'Edit' tab.
c) Select the 'Drag-and-Drop Text Editing' check box.

NOTE: If the 'Drag-and-Drop Text Editing' check box is already checked, do NOT clear it.
3) Click 'OK'.
